In the section “Late Paleolithic” there are presented art-photos from the series “History of Ukraine”.

Many viewers can hardly imagine a story that happened 500-800 years ago. And it is even more difficult to imagine events that happened some 6,000 or even 8,000 years ago. But let’s look together even in the more distant past and look at the world of the Late Stone Age (or Late Paleolithic).

The period of the Late Paleolithic (50-10 thousand BC) will seem to many viewers, when people still wore animal skins, had no written language and could not produce historical values.

But, perhaps, the current series of works will deeply surprise the viewer by showing the true treasures and historical values left by tribes which lived on the territory of Ukraine during the Late Paleolithic.

So for example a meander ornament (first found on the territory of Ukraine at Mezhirich Mammoth camp and is dating back to 22 thousand BC) became one of the most popular ornamental motifs of many civilizations of Europe, Asia and America.
