In the section “Kipchaks tribes” there are presented art-photos from the series “History of Ukraine”.

The Kipchaks tribes were one of the most mysterious nomadic peoples that ever lived on the territory of modern Ukraine. Not having a pronounced written language, the Kipchaks tribes left monuments of sacred art – the so-called “stone idols”, The stone idols became the main artifact of art works which allowed the author to build his story about this ethnos.

In the series of works “Kipchaks tribes” the author introduces the viewer with the beliefs and shamanistic ceremonies of the Kipchaks. Also the author shows Kipchaks funeral customs and demonstrate how Kipchaks respected their tribal leaders. Using the technique of photo collage, the author also tries to recreate the image of the Kipchaks as brave warriors with an iron will and a strong spirit which were tempered in the steppes.
